Why does my bra squeak and how can i make it stop?

So I have a under wire push-up bra (But I think the under wire is actually made of plastic) and whenever I move my arms or core in a certain way it squeaks. Do you know if there is any way to make it stop other than buying a new one? (I bought all the same kind so if I wear a different one I’ll have the same problem)

It’s the wire that squeaks as it rubs onto the fabric the bra is made out of. You can try to opt for bras which don’t have the metallic wire instead!

Abi, it’s usually the wire moving inside its pocket that makes the squeak, I’ve had it happen too. Try a little talcum powder, it should stop it right away. You’ll have to work it in there by massaging it with your fingers.

    Good luck!

the underwire squeaks in bras when the bra is not the right size because the wire is moving. The wire should not be moving around and this can cause it to “pop” out of the bra. It can also be because you have been machine washing your bras and the casing around the wire has shrunk. In future hand wash in cold water to make the bras last longer
